As part of its tennis commitment, Porsche promotes youth development in women’s tennis in Germany in close cooperation with the German Tennis Federation (DTB). As the main sponsor of the DTB’s youth development programme and titlepartner of the Porsche Talent Team, Porsche’s involvement is primarily aimed at preparing the most talented young players for a future as professional tennis players. This includes expanding their individual support in training and at tournaments, with the goal of giving them a successful start in the challenging transition to the professional tour. In doing so, Porsche has transferred its successful talent development approach from motorsport to tennis.

This season, the Porsche Talent Team is supporting the young players Eva Bennemann (born 2007), Tessa Brockmann (2005), Julia Stusek (2008), Mariella Thamm (2008) and Sonja Zhenikhova (2008). Targeted support for their sporting development is intended to help these promising talents take the step up to the high-level WTA Tour in the future.

As of this season, the Porsche Talent Team will be integrated into Porsche’s youth development programme “Turbo for Talents”. Through this initiative, Porsche supports young athletes across several sports with seven partner organisations in football, basketball and ice hockey. These commitments go beyond providing high‑quality sporting training; they also focus on the social and personal development of the young athletes.
