Chester Kieffer is the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Rookie Champion

Schumacher CLRT has won all three titles in the 2026 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. In addition to overall winner Flynt Schuring, the French outfit also runs the Rookie Champion in Chester Kieffer and has secured first place in the Teams’ championship for the third consecutive time.

Andrea Bristot had imagined his first Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup victory rather differently. The Italian had started from pole position in the Porsche 911 Cup fielded by Dinamic Motorsport. Despite attacks from the chasing drivers, he managed to defend the lead during the early stages at the Monza Formula 1 circuit.

Several collisions in the midfield caused the track to become partially blocked. The race director decided to suspend the race so that the marshals could recover the stricken cars. However, guardrails also had to be repaired, and the time slot allocated to the Supercup expired. The race was therefore not restarted.

The order after the first lap determined the result, with Bristot classified as the winner and Robert de Haan as runner-up. The Dutchman from BWT Lechner Racing secured second place in the drivers’ standings as a result. Germany’s Theo Oeverhaus, who races for Martinet by Alméras, finished the season third overall.

Porsche Juniors Flynt Schuring (Schumacher CLRT) and Marcus Amand (BWT Lechner Racing) finished third and fourth respectively in the shortened season finale. Schuring had already secured the overall title in the previous round at Zandvoort. The 20-year-old Dutchman is the youngest champion in the Porsche Supercup, which has been held since 1993. Marcus Amand from Finland finishes his first Supercup season fifth overall.

Sixth place in Monza was enough for Chester Kieffer to clinch the Rookie title. The 20-year-old Luxembourger beat Frenchman Paul Cauhaupé (Martinet by Alméras) and Monza winner Bristot. Schumacher CLRT, the team of Porsche Junior Schuring and Kieffer, also won the Teams’ championship. The French outfit thus secured all three titles. BWT Lechner Racing was the last team to achieve this, in the 2022 season.

“The short finale cannot detract from the exciting course of the Supercup season as a whole. Six different winners in eight races are clear evidence of that. The Rookie and Teams’ championships were only decided today – which also demonstrates the high level of performance throughout the field. I would like to thank the teams for their professional work in the Supercup, which is the pinnacle of our one-make series. The new Porsche 911 Cup has also fully impressed in its first racing season. Now we will celebrate the champions and then begin preparations for the 2027 season,” commented Michael Dreiser, Director Sales Porsche Motorsport.

Next year, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will enter its 35th season. The 2027 finale is expected to be the 350th race of the international one-make series.

Comments after the race

Andrea Bristot (ITA/Dinamic Motorsport), 1st place: “This is not how I wanted to celebrate my first Supercup victory. But these things are beyond our control in motor racing. So I am particularly proud of my first pole position – especially because I achieved it at my home circuit.”

Porsche Junior Flynt Schuring (NLD/Schumacher CLRT), 3rd place: “My team has put in a fantastic performance throughout the year. They gave me a Porsche 911 Cup to fight at the front in every single race. This season will always remain something very special in my memory.”

Chester Kieffer (LUX/Schumacher CLRT), 6th place: “I learned a huge amount in my first year in the Supercup. The start was a little difficult, but things finally clicked in the fourth race. I began the season without a fixed target. I would never have dreamed at the first race in Monaco that I would win the Rookie title.”

Côme Ledogar (FRA), Team Principal Schumacher CLRT: “We are a relatively small team, almost a family. Everyone in my team gets up in the morning determined to win. Flynt and Chester have repaid that trust 100 per cent. I am incredibly proud that we have won the Teams’ title three times in a row.”
